AiR Corner House is not a conventional exhibition space.
It has no white wall and gallery spotlight. It used
to be a residential building, becoming vacant only months
ago due to redevelopment of the area. It is a product
of urban re-generation. In fact during the workshop
and exhibition, demolition will be carried out on the
same street. And this particular building will follow
the same fate almost immediately after the exhibition.
With the traces of past living still visible, the premises
will become the site for the artists workshop
and exhibiton. Wanchais urban renewal will be
a backdrop for this cultural exchange project. Hong
Kong and overseas artists will take part in a two-week
workshop, in which they exchange ideas and practices
through daily contacts. The exhibition will showcase
the artworks created by the artists after their two
weeks residency, in addition with documentations of
the whole cultural exchange process among the artists
and with the community
